Summary
Alleges Google collected, used, and disclosed personal information from children under 13 through Google Play apps without parental consent. Google denies wrongdoing. The settlement creates an $8.25 million fund for eligible claimants. Individual payments will be determined on a pro rata basis after deductions and the number of valid claims.
Who qualifies
You may qualify if you lived in the United States and, while under age 13 between April 1, 2015 and the present, downloaded or used a Google Play app from which Google allegedly collected personal information. Claims for minors must be submitted by a parent or legal guardian.
Suits does not handle payments or process claims. Payments are issued by the claim administrator and typically take 3-6 months.
