Older California subscribers allegedly paid higher Tinder Plus prices
Summary
This settlement resolves California age-discrimination claims over Tinder Plus and Tinder Gold pricing. Tinder agreed to create a $60.5 million settlement fund. Class members identified in Tinder’s records do not file a claim form; they can choose a payment method on the site, and people who believe they are class members but did not receive notice can submit a verification form. The payment-selection and verification deadline is August 18, 2026.
Who qualifies
People who purchased Tinder Plus or Tinder Gold in California at any time on or after March 2, 2015 when they were over age 29, or on or after March 2, 2016 when they were over age 28. Class members share in the net settlement amount on a per capita and pro rata basis, with larger payments for people who paid more. People not directly notified can use the verification form on the site.
Suits does not handle payments or process claims. Payments are issued by the claim administrator and typically take 3-6 months.
