Atrium Health patient portal pixel tracking privacy settlement
Summary
Plaintiffs allege Atrium Health used pixel tracking on its MyAtriumHealth/MyCarolinas patient portal that shared patient data with third parties. Atrium denies wrongdoing but agreed to pay up to $1,800,000. Portal users from 2015 to July 2019 may receive a pro rata payment, and other account holders through April 2024 may receive up to $10.
Who qualifies
U.S. residents who had a MyAtriumHealth or MyCarolinas patient portal account between January 1, 2015 and April 10, 2024. Payment group depends on whether the account was used before July 31, 2019; Atrium affiliates and those who opt out are excluded.
Suits does not handle payments or process claims. Payments are issued by the claim administrator and typically take 3-6 months.
