Class action settlement
Lands' End, Inc.
About this settlement
Lands' End data breach exposed customer personal information
Summary
The lawsuit alleges that in December 2024 cybercriminals accessed Lands' End's computer systems and may have obtained personal information including names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, driver's license or passport information, and in limited cases medical information. Lands' End denies wrongdoing but agreed to settle to avoid the cost and risk of trial. Settlement Class Members can claim two years of CyEx Financial Shield Complete credit monitoring with $1 million of fraud insurance. Class Members may also choose either reimbursement of up to $5,000 for documented out-of-pocket losses, or a one-time $60 alternate cash payment requiring no documentation. The settlement is non-reversionary as to the credit monitoring and cash benefits, which are paid on a claims-made basis rather than from a stated fixed fund.
