Summary
The settlement addresses alleged bonding separation/delamination in certain Shimano Hollowtech II cranksets manufactured before July 2019. Benefits include an extended express warranty through July 29, 2027, enhanced inspections at recall retailers, and reimbursement of reasonable out-of-pocket costs to replace qualifying cranksets where the express warranty had expired. Reimbursement requires supporting documentation and is unavailable for replacements on or after September 21, 2023. The claims deadline for reimbursement is August 4, 2026.
Who qualifies
Anyone in the U.S. who purchased, received, was given, and/or owned a designated Shimano crankset (or a bike equipped with one), other than solely for resale. To receive reimbursement, claimants must show qualifying replacement and documentation; extended warranty and inspections apply automatically.
Suits does not handle payments or process claims. Payments are issued by the claim administrator and typically take 3-6 months.
