VW Atlas water pump defect settlement reimbursement
Summary
The lawsuit alleges certain 2018-2022 VW Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport vehicles with 3.6L engines have water pumps that may fail and leak coolant. VW denies wrongdoing but settled, extending warranty coverage to 80% of repair costs for up to 8.5 years or 85,000 miles. Owners may also claim 80% reimbursement for past water pump or head gasket repairs.
Who qualifies
Current or former U.S. owners or lessees of eligible 2018-2022 VW Atlas or Atlas Cross Sport vehicles with a 3.6L engine, checked by VIN on the settlement site. Past repairs must have been paid before July 6, 2026 and within 8.5 years or 85,000 miles.
Suits does not handle payments or process claims. Payments are issued by the claim administrator and typically take 3-6 months.
